Managing People - 2 x Half-Day Workshop
Advance Rural Lincolnshire invites you to a FREE 2 x half-day workshop that will give you the opportunity to consider how you work with others to achieve results. You will have the opportunity to try out some techniques and will be given tips that work!
Workshop 1: Delegating and Motivating Effectively
During this workshop, you will be encouraged to explore the things that make delegation difficult and to work out a plan for overcoming these. You will also have the opportunity to consider the main things that motivate people and what you need to do to enhance this at work.
Objectives: by the end of the workshop, delegates will have:
- Discussed the things that can prevent us from delegating
- Considered the skills that are required to delegate effectively
- Produced a delegation plan to use at work
- Explored the main reasons why people become de-motivated
- Discussed the main “people motivators” at work
- Considered how to enhance the way they motivate others.
Workshop 2: Handling and Resolving Conflict
During this workshop you will have the opportunity to consider your approach to handling conflict – do you face it head on, resolve it carefully, or tend to run away instead?
Objectives: by the end of the workshop, delegates will have:
- Considered their behavioural approach to conflict – does it tend to be aggressive, assertive or passive? What are the effects?
- Explored a range of different skills and phrases to enable them to handle “conflict” situations with greater confidence
- Had the opportunity to practice fun case study scenarios to develop their interpersonal skills in handing conflict or “difficult” situations
